The journey Begins

Day 1: Arrive Sydney

Upon arrival in Sydney you will be transferred to your downtown accommodation.
Day 2: Sydney Sightseeing

Set on beautiful blue Sydney Harbour, this fast paced city of cosmopolitan character is one of the world's most beautiful places. Enjoy an unforgettable cruise with buffet lunch aboard Captain Cook Cruises while taking in the splendour of Sydney Harbour and surrounds. Your tour will cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Manly and the Northern Beaches.

Day 3: Blue Mountains 4WD & Wildlife Tour

Travel into the backcountry of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. In a 4WD explore the tracks of Grose Valley. Enjoy a delicious lunch and explore Sydney's premier wildlife park.
Day 4: Sydney - Melbourne (flight not included)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Melbourne.

Day 5: Melbourne City & Phillip Island Penguins

This full day tour will include a guided walk through Melbourne's best arcades, laneways, Queen Victoria Market and Chinatown. Visit Churchill Island to look for unique birdlife and see Koalas in their natural habitat at the Koala Conservation Centre. Your highlight today will be witnessing the Penguin Parade on floodlit Summerland Beach from the premium viewing area.

Day 6: Melbourne at leisure

Enjoy the day to relax, or join one of the many optional tours we have out to either the Great Ocean Road, Yarra Valley or the Puffy Billy and Blue Dandenongs.

Day 8: Barossa Valley Sightseeing

This full day tour includes a wine tasting at Wolf Blass Winery and a delicious lunch and tasting at Barossa Chateau. You will also tour through the German settlement of Hahndorf, rich in German heritage.

Day 9: Adelaide to Uluru (Ayers Rock)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Uluru (Ayers Rock).

Day 10: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunrise & Guided Walk

Rise early to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area, watch the first rays of the sun set Uluru and the Red Centre alight. After sunrise accompany your guide on the Kuniya Base Walk from Kuniya Piti, a sacred site at Uluru. Afterwards walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole where your guide will indicate the natural features of the landscape, continue to Kantju Gorge. Later visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.

Day 11: Uluru (Ayers Rock) - Cairns (flight not included)

With a transfer to the airport you will leave this spectacular iconic region and fly into Cairns located on the stunning coast of Northern Queensland.

Day 12: Kuranda Heritage Day Tour

Enjoy a full day tour to Kuranda. The tour includes Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Kuranda Scenic Rail, lunch, and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

Day 13: Cairns - Great Barrier Reef - Port Douglas

Travel by catamaran today out to Agincourt Reef, at the very outer edge of the Barrier Reef. Here, special reefs known as -ribbons' run parallel to the Continental Shelf. Adjacent to the Coral Sea trench, these ribbon reefs are recognised as the most pristine eco-systems in the reef's environment. You will enjoy lunch, snorkeling, coral viewing by a semi submersible, underwater observatory and informative talks by a marine biologist. Return to Port Douglas.

Day 14: Port Douglas at leisure

Take a day to relax in this quaint seaside town, or join an optional tour up to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest.

Tour Questions

Our tours are suitable for all age demographics. The average age of travelers is typically 45+

There are options for single travelers to join most tours. Solo Travelers can choose to pay the single supplement and have their own room throughout the tour. For those willing to share, we also have a Twin Share option that is offered for the majority of our tours. This means you will be sharing the hotel rooms with another single, same gender traveller who also books the Twin Share option. If this is the case, there will be no single supplement charged to either of you. If we are unable to match you with another Twin Share traveler, there may be a single surcharge applied to cover the full cost of the rooms on some of our longer tours. Please enquire before finalizing your booking for full details.

This tour has a low level of physical demand, although there may be some activities or sightseeing tours that require walking short distances. Please inquire if you have any mobility restrictions before completing your booking to ensure this tour is right for you.

Each passenger may bring one large suitcase and one carry-on bag. The weight limit for this suitcase is 32 kilograms/60 pounds. Baggage handling is provided at the hotels in our tour packages. Please advise our reservations staff if you will be bringing additional items such as a cane, walker or wheelchair. You may also bring one small soft-sided carry-on bag, which should easily fit into the overhead shelf of the coach. Each person is responsible for his/her own carryon luggage. Remember to check your airline baggage restrictions if you are flying, as they may differ from Anderson Vacations Tours guidelines.

The suggested allowance for non-included meals is $40.00 — $60.00 CAD per day (includes tipping).

Yes! There are many meals included on our fully escorted tours. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so we can ensure there are alternative meal choices and arrangements made for you.

For your convenience, gratuities for local guides and meals stated on the itinerary are included in the price of the tour. For meals not included in your tour package please remember that it is customary to tip your server 15-20% in North America. Gratuities for your Motorcoach Driver and Tour Director are left to your discretion. We recommend $4.00 - $5.00 CAD per person, per day for your Motorcoach Driver and $6.00 - $7.00 CAD per person, per day for your Tour Director. if you can't find your
